Scholarships

Arkansas Rural Health Partnership’s two scholarship programs include the Delta Health Workforce Training Program and the Delta Emergency Response Training Program. There is a significant need for professionals in the healthcare sector. Together, the partnership has developed scholarship programs to assist in educational opportunities that support career development. 

The scholarship will be a full tuition, fees, books, and supplies paid scholarship renewable each semester with funds being paid directly to the college. Scholarship recipients will also receive a laptop to assist with completion of program, paid certification, internship placement assistance, and job placement assistance. Delta Health Workforce Training Program 

This scholarship is made available through University of Arkansas Grantham (UAG). All programs are completed online and individuals are eligible to receive scholarship for the following programs: 

  • Certificate in Electronic Health Records
  • Certificate in Medical Coding and Billing
  • Certificate in Medical Administrative Assistant
  • Associate Degree, Medical Coding and Billing
  • Associate Degree, Medical Administrative Assistant
  • Associate Degree, Healthcare Administration

Program enrollment is offered on a monthly basis. Each cohort begins in the second week of each month. Students can apply for scholarships and enroll in select programs anytime. 

Students must reside in the following counties to be eligible for scholarship through this program: Arkansas, Ashley, Baxter, Bradley, Calhoun, Chicot, Dallas, Desha, Drew, Grant, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Jefferson, Lee, Lincoln, Lonoke, Monroe, Ouachita, Phillips, Prairie, St. Francis, and Union. 

We are seeking committed individuals from the service area who are in need of financial assistance to complete school. Current healthcare administrative support professionals and new workforce entrants are preferred.

Delta Emergency Response Training Program

Scholarships are available for individuals who want to pursue Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic programs. Training programs are offered across the service area at the following local colleges and universities: 

  • University of Arkansas at Monticello - McGehee: EMT
  • Arkansas Fire Training Academy: EMT
  • University of Arkansas at Monticello - Crossett: EMT
  • Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas: EMT
  • South Arkansas College: EMT and Paramedic
  • East Arkansas Community College (EACC): EMT and Paramedic
  • Pulaski Tech: Paramedic
  • Arkansas State University - Mid South: Paramedic

Program enrollment begins in the Fall and Spring semesters of each academic year.
