Our Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Mellie Bridewell, MS is currently contracted to the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP) as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer through UAMS Regional Programs. Ms. Bridewell has eighteen years of experience in community and organizational networking, program development, grant writing, and program implementation. Ms. Bridewell has been a critical component in the development of the ARHP and was involved in the initial HRSA Rural Network Planning Grant project which provided funding to formalize the organization and has since grown the organization from five members to the ten members today. Mellie has obtained over $7 million dollars in grant funds for the ARHP to address healthcare training opportunities, patient assistance services, outreach programs, and access to care throughout the Arkansas Delta.
Mellie was recognized as one of the National Office of Rural Health’s community stars for National Rural Health Day 2016. She currently participates as board member and officer of the National Cooperative of Health Networks (NCHN) and is a new member of the NRHA Rural Health Congress. As the Chief Executive Officer, Mellie provides general direction and accountability for all projects of the ARHP. Mellie also assists all ARHP member hospitals with individual grant applications for equipment needs and outreach projects as well as with their community health needs, assessments and implementation.
Mellie lives in Lake Village, Arkansas with her husband Robert and loves being a Mom, cooking, working in her yard, and enjoying Arkansas Delta lake living.
