"ARHP plays a vital role in helping us reduce our patient readmission rates."
ARHP continues to identify strategies to overcome healthcare staffing issues, close geographical barriers, and meet the social and healthcare needs that affect our rural patients. We train and educate healthcare professionals, empower patients and communities with information, provide mental health & substance use treatment & prevention, and connect hospitals with important resources.
The Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) process helps us identify the community our partner hospitals serve and helps gather quantitative analysis of actual health care issues. This helps us plan and implement programs and services across the region.
The IRS requires non-profit hospitals to conduct a CHNA once every three years to maintain non-profit status. In 2019, ARHP facilitated this process for 9 member hospitals. Hospital CHNAs can be accessed on individual hospital websites.
