This project provides access to free breast exams, mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies to uninsured and underinsured women and men at Ashley County Medical Center, Baptist Health-Stuttgart, Bradley County Medical Center, Chicot Memorial Medical Center, Drew Memorial Health System, Delta Memorial Hospital, Jefferson Regional Medical Center, and CrossRidge Community Hospital, all rural hospitals in the Arkansas Delta.  The program also assists patients with navigation to additional breast health services, treatment, and support programs throughout the state of Arkansas.

HRSA Rural Health Network Development Grant

This project provides several programs and services for patients and hospitals, rural health clinics, and community health centers throughout the counties of Arkansas, Monroe, Lonoke, Phillips, Ashley, Chicot, Drew, Bradley, Union, Calhoun, Desha, Drew, Dallas, Cleveland, Grant, Lincoln, St. Francis, Ouachita, & Lee counties of Arkansas.  This project includes:

Arkansas Delta Rural Health Opioid Program

HRSA Rural Health Opioid Grant

This project expands locally available screening, education, outreach, case management and counseling services for those at-risk or diagnosed with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and includes all hospitals in the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership.  This project includes:

·       Developing a regional taskforce to address OUD

·       Training healthcare providers to screen their patients for OUD

·       Certifying healthcare providers to prescribe medication assistance for recovery

·       Providing community education and awareness of OUD

·       Providing case management and telehealth counseling services for patients with OUD

Arkansas Delta Onsite Simulation Training Project

USDA Delta Health Care Services Grant

  • University of Arkansas at Monticello-College of Technology at McGehee

  • Southeast Arkansas College


This project provides on-site trauma, OB, and basic hospital accredited simulation trainings tailored to meet the needs of participating hospitals and nursing schools in the region; including at Ashley County Medical Center, Baptist Health-Stuttgart, Bradley County Medical Center, Chicot Memorial Medical Center, Drew Memorial Health System, Delta Memorial Hospital, Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Helena Regional Medical Center, Ouachita Regional Medical Center, and Forrest City Medical Center. 

This project also provides scholarships to local firefighters and high school seniors to attend classes at local technical colleges to become certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).
