Healthcare Provider Education

On-Site Trauma Training & Certification

Provides on-site trauma, OB, and basic hospital accredited simulation trainings tailored to meet the needs of participating hospitals and nursing schools in the region.

Quarterly Newsletter

Digital quarterly newsletter highlighting member hospital programs, events, and staff as well as health information and available education and trainings opportunities.

EMT Certification

Provides scholarships to local firefighters and high school seniors to attend classes at local technical colleges to become certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).

Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Education & Training

Offers SAMHSA’s online SBIRT training to providers at hospital-owned rural health clinics (RHCs) and physician practices in order to screen their patients that are at-risk of substance use and OUD.

Diabetes Site & Educator Certification Assistance

Assists hospitals, hospital clinics, and community health centers with becoming accredited AADE sites with certified educators 

Hospital & Clinical On-Line Education Training

Provides member hospitals, clinics, and community health centers with free on-line education designed to assist healthcare organizations with orientation and assessment of skills required for accreditation.

Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP)

Provides DEEP training to hospital and clinical staff.


Patient Education & Services

Cooking Matters

Empowers families with the skills to stretch their food budgets and cook healthy meals so that everyone in the family gets nutritious food at home.  The program includes a grocery store tour that provides families with hands-on training.

Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP)

Teaches diabetics how to self-manage their diabetes through a six week program

Opioid Outreach Initiative

Provides SBIRT screening for potential OUD patients as well as case management, medication assistance, and counseling services at the local clinic via telehealth.

Delta Cares Counseling Services

Provides navigation to free breast screening services, prescription assistance, insurance enrollment, ARHP programs, and individual hospital programs available to patients and clinical staff.

Patient Navigation Hotline

The ARHP’s 24/7 information phone line provides navigation to Access Project Pink (free mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies), prescription assistance, insurance enrollment and the ARHP individual hospital programs; it is available to patients and clinical staff throughout the service area.

Access Project Pink/Reach Every Woman

Provides access to free breast exams, mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies to uninsured and underinsured women and men at participating hospital sites that provide these services.


Community Outreach Initiatives

ArCOP Community Grants

Sub-grants are provided to communities that have been designated “Healthy Communities” by Arkansas Coalition for Obesity. These funds are available to Arkansas Delta communities to fund community gardens, worksite wellness, Cooking Matters, and other health initiatives.

Insurance Enrollment Services

Delta Cares counselors provide assistance to residents in the Arkansas Delta needing help navigating and enrolling in federal and state insurance programs.

Health Resource Directory

An annual Health Resource Directory for the nineteen counties in the Arkansas Delta is distributed throughout the service area to residents, physicians, hospitals, and clinics.  The directory lists all healthcare resources available by service.

EMT Certification Program

This program provides scholarships to local firefighters and high school seniors to attend classes at local technical colleges to become certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Scholarships are distributed based on recommendations and board determination.

Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Education

This program provides an Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) community awareness and education component as well as recovery resources including OUD counseling at local clinics through telehealth.


Membership Services

Community Health Needs Assessments

ARHP staff provides free Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and CHNA Strategic Plan coordination, develop, writing, and research for all member hospitals as required by the IRS.

CHNA Strategic Plan Implementation

ARHP staff assists member hospitals with successfully implementing and meeting the goals in their Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) as required by the IRS.

Grant Writing

ARHP staff provides free grant writing services to all member hospitals.

ARHP Website

The ARHP Website provides up-to-date information on all member hospital services, programs, and special events.
