HRSA Rural Health Network Development Grant


Community Health Initiatives (CHI) will provide the following for ARHP hospitals, community health centers and rural health clinics throughout the service area. The ARHP welcomes and encourages organizations and businesses to contact us for more information about CHI and if we can help plan or assist with your event.

Community Grants

The ARHP will provide sub-grants to be distributed by the Arkansas Coalition for Obesity Prevention (ArCOP) to communities that have met the "Healthy Communities" criteria established by ArCOP.

Health Resource Directory

The ARHP will provide free Health Resource Directories to hospitals, organizations and clinics throughout the service area. The directory is available upon request, at various health events during the year and is also available online by clicking the link at left.

Patient Navigation

A 24/7 information phone line will be provided for patients and residents to access information on all ARHP programs and services. It will be expanded for ARHP member hospitals to promote or inform the public about their outreach programs and to assist with event planning and registration.


The ARHP website will provide information on all ARHP services and programs, in addition to information on member hospitals and promotion of their programs, events and services. 

Insurance Enrollment  & HIV Screening Events

The ARHP will assist member hospitals with insurance enrollment and assistance events and will also provide free HIV testing and educational events for ARHP hospitals' service areas.


ARHP staff will also provide assistance with press releases and member hospital publications upon request and issue a quarterly newsletter distributed via mass email and print It is also available online.
